Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the urban setting.
Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team reach locations they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
